In a continuation of our New Year theme, we’ve dedicated this blog to reinforce a recent press announcement about some of the great improvements that are on tap for Austin, Texas, this year. Here’s a short list of some of the most important issues that will be addressed to improve your life in and around your apartment in Austin.

More in Store for the new Central Library

According to a KXAN report, other major cities that recently opened new libraries saw their average number of visitors double. Tighten the focus to right here in Austin, where the new “
Central Library” will include all that one would expect for a substantial library PLUS event and meeting spaces, a restaurant, art gallery and computer courses all housed within its 198,000-square foot facility along Cesar Chavez Street.

Mopac Sees Improved Traffic Flow

For those of us who live and commute to and from our apartment in Austin, we know that spending time on the Mopac Freeway is not at the top of our list of our favorite things to do. However, it does get us to and from all of the great things to do and see in our home town. Well here’s good news to share for 2017: The stretch between Far West and Parmer is now open and that traffic is certainly flowing better for all!

Austin Welcomes New Chinese Faire

We all know there is no shortage of great places to eat in Austin. And as uncanny as it seems, when Austin Monthly announces one of their latest and greatest “new best places to eat”, off-springs spring up all over town. Today we applaud
Wu Chow (one of the magazine’s fav in 2016) for stimulating the desire for more Chinese food options in Austin. We send a special welcome to Ah Sing Den, Street, and Old Thousand. Get out of your home in Austin tonight to dine on some of these new and upcoming restaurants in Austin.

And Last But Not Least …

With a new year always comes a desire to improve one’s life … whatever that may mean to the beholder of the resolution. With that said, we encourage you to shop local to keep the economy strong this year and in years to come. Here’s a
cool list of local companies who have gone out of their way to develop and market some terrific products that you can get delivered right to your door at LeMontreaux. Happy shopping, and Happy New Year, too!
