\nLast year we joined in the celebration of the 40th<\/sup> Anniversary of the Summer Classic Film Series in Austin, TX. This year we’re delighted to hear that the series will continue with a long line-up of some the greatest movies ever to hit the big screen or classic festivals all over the world. There are 100 films on the schedule that include digital restorations and rich 35 mm prints, with some of our favorites – including Casablanca. The cost is only $12 per person unless you become a ‘film fan’ than it’s only $7.

\nNo question this is the favorite of all for those who celebrate Hump Day during the summer in Austin. Come join the fun at Zilker Park every other Wednesday through August for live music, fab food, and a fun time every time. You can bring your four-legged friend on a leash and don’t forget your low-level chairs, picnic, and blanket as well. (Please no glass or alcohol.) Parking is limited yet it’s worth the time to get organized and out of your apartment in Austin<\/a> every other Wednesday. See you there!

\nWe’ve been waiting to share this news for a while and now here’s our opportunity. If you have been following the news about the planned 30-mile extension of the Barton Creek Greenbelt, you have heard about the first six miles that are ready for all of Austin and visitors from all over the world to enjoy. Although it’s a short drive from our driveway at LeMontreaux apartments here in Austin<\/a>, you’ll feel miles away from town amidst deep canyons and mature cedar forests. A few things to remember before you head out: there are no restrooms (yet) or water fountains so come prepared accordingly and don’t forget your camera!
